Share Your UMCW Hopes & Dreams

This post is part of our “conversation” about the hopes & dreams of the future direction of our church.  We want to know your thoughts and comments on setting the direction for the United Methodist Church of Westford in the coming years.

Please use the following questions to guide your comments:

1. What makes you most proud of the United Methodist Church of Westford?

2. What do we do exceptionally well at church?

3. Being part of this church makes a difference in my life because…

4. I believe that God is calling our church to…

We will keep this blog open until Sunday May 10 and then report back to the congregation.  Thank you for your input and your dedication to UMCW!

This is a test entry. Once you submit your commemts, they will appear in this format.

First of all, thank you for setting this up! It is especially nice for those of us who missed the May 3rd meeting.

    1. What makes you most proud of the United Methodist Church of Westford?

“Proud” isn’t the word I would use, but I feel blessed by the church itself, the people who make up the congregation. They are caring, intelligent, friendly, hard-working Christians.

    2. What do we do exceptionally well at church?

    Care for each other.

    3. Being part of this church makes a difference in my life because…

It has truly been a family of believers, with all that the word ‘family’ implies. I know that if my family has needs, our church family will be there to support us.

    4. I believe that God is calling our church to…

As individuals, to become closer to God through prayer, study, and action. As a church…the same. Outreach is wonderful and we should do that, but as we do we should work hard to know the Gospel that we are sharing. Bible studies, small groups, and Sunday worship, as well as individual studies, are all great ways to really learn what we believe and why we believe. Learning ‘what and why’ makes sharing much easier.
